Passchendaele Casualty Forms
Archives New Zealand holds the New Zealand Defence Force Casualty forms of New Zealand military personnel buried at Tyne Cot Cemetary, Passchendalele in 1917. Tyne Cot Cemetery is the resting place of nearly 700 New Zealand soldiers who gave their lives at Passchendaele in 1917 during the Third Battle of Ypres.
The NZDF Casualty forms hold such information as name, date of birth, rank and previous occupation of a soldier, and his transfers and movements during service. The date and circumstance of his death is recorded as well as the cemetary and plot number in which he is buried.
