The public consultation feedback period closed on 18 November 2023. We’ll use the feedback you have given us to help us improve the scope and definition of care records. Learn how we’re protecting your privacy throughout this process.

We respect your privacy. We gave you a couple of ways to provide feedback on the scope and definition of care records, including anonymously.

You did not need to provide your contact details

If you chose to answer our survey, you did not need to provide your contact details — unless you wanted us to contact you to:

  • be involved in our retention and disposal of records work

  • be told when the scope and definition of care records has been published

  • receive an answer to questions you asked in your survey response. 

If you decided to provide your feedback by email, we have also collected your email address and any other personally identifiable information you chose to provide us.

We’ll make sure any information you give us as feedback is stored securely and only used for the purposes of helping us understand the best way to improve the protection of care records.
